they occur,
on a daily basis

like when I am showering
and I forget that I am.
because I begin to choke and drown
and I drown
so I gasp, and open my eyes
and there it is
the water running bloody brown.

but on second thought, it is not blood
in the water it is the fading
colour of my auburn hair
that makes this brown flood.

but these thoughts occur,
on a daily basis.
