More than a year ago I blogged about Robert Dziekanski, the polish immigrant that was tasered to death. It was an event that traumatized me, along with many others who up till now had not seen such a clear demonstration of the ineptness and corruption of the RCMP. It's been so long and the updates about this case barely make it into headlines but yesterday on tv they announced that the firefighter (in-chief) that was on the scene humbly testified against the actions of the four officers that participated in the scene. He spoke of not wanting to make 12,000 enemies (in reference to the Police force, and Fire Department) with one statement but that he believed the officers not only did not assist Robert to their best ability but they refused the firefighter, when he asked them to un-cuff him so he could provide medical aid.
I only derived that much and don't know how the decision is formulating yet, but I hope I find the Canadian justice system redeeming itself by punishing those involved in this act of murder.
In other news, I was watching 'The View' today and none other than Condoleezza Rice was being interviewed. I was surprised and greatly confused. First of all, shouldn't she be wearing out the shame in some isolated corner of the States? And second of all, why was she even invited. She is writing a few books, one about how she is so passionate about providing equal and good education to all American children. After the inauguration I just imagined her red faced and perpetually embarrassed of herself and the Bush team, I was really devastated to see her holding herself together. Why can't things play out like the movies...ever.
Tomorrow a new semester starts.
I am excited, only because in the past 24 hours I ran out of ways to entertain myself.
I even tried re-organizing my fridge in order of, least caloric to most caloric food items.
and then watched Martha, and learned a cool way to make a felt valentine gift bag. I think I will go buy some felt soon and try it out.
....exciting stuff.
Aren't you just glad, exams are over.

Exams done, now we wait for the next set.
But I agree. I ran out of things to do and so I am partly looking forward to tomorrow. Then my optimism will be crushed by some violent unknown force.
Yay...
