it went really well.
I was so nervous, my knees were shaking.
Nick and I had three slots. The first one, we read 'Insomniacs of the world, goodnight' by Gordon Downie and we screwed up. I think I laughed when we messed up our lines though. I hope I laughed. laughing fixes everything. It wasn't that bad of a screwup. The second one was '21st century Living' By Matthew Good. And that went well. Nick sang the chorus.
Our last performance, I think it was our best one, was 'who by rote' by Gord Downie. And by that time I wasn't shaking as much. I don't think he was nervous at all, which was really good, because otherwise I would have just fed off of that. Once we finished that, I went off stage and Nick sang a Hawksley Workman song. And then I was up again for the fourth time. I was much more comfortable this time and Zainab and I performed my poem, 'Ticktocking in parentheses.'
My favourite performance of the hour was Natasha and Amy's. They did 'Across the universe' by the Beatles. And I loved what Zainab performed. I don't remember what it's called but it had something to do with big brother, she did it well.
thinking now, I am happy about it.
And I am so proud of Rabita for organizing this. And pointlessly making us all wake up at 7:00am to practice.

I loved the last one, too.
That's the one where you said "I'm here because you're here and when you leave I'm leaving too" and Nick talked over you, right? Correct me if I'm wrong. I really digged it, good job. =)
Zainba & Nick were good too.
(As were Amy and Nat).
Are you down for another one? Amy and I are hoping to do something similar for Earth Day, as well.
NOT MY FAULT YOU LAZYASSES DIDN'T DO A RUN-THROUGH.
