admitted defeat.

During math, last period, they called me down to guidance because I was suppose to have chosen a course which would replace art(because this was canceled). So, my counselor asked me if I had the sheet signed and I said no, I think I have a problem. So I showed her a university program which requires a senior level visual arts course, except I forgot that senior could also mean gr.11.
So she then told me to pick a course, and I asked for a few minutes. There were a few other students in the Guidance reception area deciding which course to take as well. So I am sitting there looking through the very unappetizing choices, and one of the other guidance counselors comes and asks me if I need some help, so I say yes I am kind of lost as to which course I should choose. She goes on the computer and pulls up my files and starts to look at the choices I have made in the past and my marks and things. In the meanwhile Ms.Wood comes in and tries to 'help'.
She asked me what I am planning to go into so I say 'I was planning to go into Arts, but it was canceled' She says 'what about pot-secondary?' and I say 'Art.' and she says 'well, what else' and I am thinking 'Stop trying to help me' but then the guidance counselor said I might be interested in Challenges and Changes in Society, and out of the choices that I had that seemed like the most viable option. I was actually thankful about her help. It's the counselor that came this year, I don't know her name.
Oh, and the counselors actually are really wishy washy about things they want to leeway around, and when I asked them how students are supposed to build their portfolios, which is required to go in to any Art program, they said Ms.Tolton and Mr.Leichnitz will be be running some sort of program to help build the portfolio. Which is a lie, because Tolton won't be here, and Leichnitz never said anything about this to the counselors. And I am sure he has a life and doesn't want to spend a couple of hour every day, after school for at least a semester helping students build their portfolios.
