meticulous notes.

Its 11:20, and the lock down alarm goes...
It's during parenting class, and a lot of people start shrieking. we'd already been warned about this in the morning, and by our teacher. so the teacher locks the door, we get under the computer tables, the standard lock down procedure. I turn up my music and try to have fun, because it was quite fun just sitting in the dark, sort of like when I was five and we'd turn the lights off and tell scary stories. And then here and there I catch glimpses of bright light including from my own lap, coming from the illuminated screens of cellphones and mp3s. At that point the teacher tells me to turn off my music, obviously loud music would create a life or death situation, if perhaps it was a real lock down. hmph. So I turn it off, and now looking back at it I am trying to decide if the snippets of airborne conversations I eavesdropped on were in fact more lively than my music. No, I have decided they weren't. So I hear this group of girls talking about Pussy Cat Dolls (girl band, with one lead singer and 15 other useless sluts that just dance and can't sing) and their new reality show 'Girlicious' and how Melissa R. got kicked off, and boohoo. I plugged my ears with music, with the volume turned down this time, It was all I could do not to laugh. It was better I be amused by them than disgusted.

And then it was 4:10 and I am leaving school after environmental club...
and it way too cold, and I wasn't equipped for it. But as I was walking the right half of my black coat was blanketed in white snow. and I chuckled an thought black, white. And the snow flakes were airborne and I kept sticking out my tongue to catch some. and I started humming the song I was listening to, and as I turned up the volume my humming got louder, and I was totally unaware of this until this kid from our school creeped up beside me and passed me. It was quite embarrassing. But I was in a really good mood, and I thought of something then to write, poem of sorts. but by the time I got home and showered, it slipped my mind.

"I started thinking about the rest of my life.."
